CRAPPY SLEEP!!!!!
CRAPPY SLEEP!!!!!! I realized about 2 weeks ago the reason WHY I was waking up in the middle of the night and feeling so alert that I could run a mile... YIKES! After reading a bunch of articles on sleep I had an epiphany, my body was going into gluconeogensis... GLUCONEOGENEIS is when your body breaks down muscle tissue for quick glucose to the brain and body, this quick rise in blood sugar forces you to wake up with an adrenaline surge .. GEEEZZ I was eating dinner too early and/or not getting in enough energy foods to get my body fueled with glycogen through the night.. I was eating fish before bed... BAD SOURCE OF ENERGY! REMEDY: now I eat a table spoon of extra virgin coconut oil before bed... Because I eat coconut fat and not carbs this means that my body only takes what it can burn and does NOT STORE converted triglycerides !! LEARN MORE ABOUT: extra virgin coconut oil as energy :)

CARDIO VS WEIGHT TRAINING
CARDIO VS. WEIGHT TRAINING
People often ask me what is the best way to burn fat and tone muscle , I suggest that they look at long distance runners vs. short distance sprinters!!!!!!STARVING LONG DISTANCE RUNNERS
The long distance runners are a MESS, they burn their muscle and adrenals, weaken their metabolism by chronically going into glyconeogeneis, this is when your body breaks down muscle to quickly to receive a nice supply of glucose "energy/fuel" this is how the body adapts to not fall into a coma, literally.
SPRINTERS
must rely on super powerful strength for short bursts of energy output and A LOT OF RECOVERY..
A sprinter must fuel their bodies adequately with the right pre, during and post foods as well as forced recovery... otherwise the sprinting performance would be compromised!
TREADMILLS VS. INTERVAL TRAINING
This comparison applies just the same as taking a kick boxing class or doing an hour of cardio.. it only takes running up to 3 miles before you bodies energy sources become depleted.. Your metabolism slows down, your adrenal fight or flight systems become burnt out.. and you still remain flabby!
Where as interval training for example: 1 min sprints with 3-4 min recovery will help you bust your metabolism because of being able to recover before your energy systems become depleted..
OR WEIGHT TRAINING: 6- 12 rep max with 1 min of recovery as the same effect!!

Energy without carbs?
When your on a LOW CARB diet you need a quick boost of energy for your workout! I use COCONUT OIL because it is metabolized similar to a carbohydrate! You can use this stuff on your hair and skin also! My favorite is to make COCONUT ICE CREAM!!! I'll post the recipe later but for now go buy some coconut oil and incorporate it into your diet!! It also has anti-fungal properties! GO BUY IT NOW! You don't store it like most fats, you burn it for energy!
